<br /></div>
<div class="p1">
When I was studying for my Bachelor of Economics in University Malaya back in 2007, most of my professors were old-timers who were excellent in their respective field of expertise. They were the G.O.A.T y’all!<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></div>
<div class="p2">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1">
One of them was Professor Yew or simply Madam Yew, as she’d like the students to call her.</div>
<div class="p2">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1">
Madam Yew was one of the few professors who have etched a mark in my life, both professionally and personally. She taught me Macroeconomics and Malaysian Economy.</div>
<div class="p2">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1">
One of the striking things about her is how shed like us, the students, to address herself. Unlike other professors, she simply wanted to be called as Madam Yew. Not Professor Yew, or Dr Yew - just Madam Yew.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></div>
<div class="p2">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1">
And just by that, my respect for her quadruple in an instant. Her humility couldn’t veil the vast accolades, achievements and knowledge she’d harboured after decades being in the field.</div>
<div class="p2">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1">
Anyway, I’m not going to talk about her but one significant lesson she had taught me outside of the lecture hall.</div>
<div class="p2">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1">
There was one time when we were assigned for a group assignment but unfortunately only half out of the four group members did the job. Madam Yew was known for being very strict and demanded a thorough result of everything she assigned to us, not a half-baked one. So, I decided to take matters into my own hand and report to her about my non-performing group members and how tiring it was doing the job of four people in a group assignment.</div>
<div class="p2">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1">
Instead of asking for the names of the students who didn’t do their part and being sympathetic to our predicament, she merely smiled at me after I’ve presented my case to her. Then she said:</div>
<div class="p2">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1">
“Don’t you think it’s your fault instead? Don’t you think you’re being too rigid and being a perfectionist? So what if they don’t do their job? So what if they did only a portion of the work? The main thing is you do your part and if they didn’t do theirs, then let them be because it will show on them, not you. You can’t change and control everything in life. Whatever thats beyond your control, let it be.”</div>
<div class="p2">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1">
Ten years on, I still held on tight to that simple revelation - LET GO OF THE THINGS YOU CANNOT CONTROL. Don’t sweat yourself over issues, or people, or situation in which you have no say on.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></div>
<div class="p2">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1">
Life is like a winding, rocky river. You need to be flexible and not rigid in order for you to keep moving with the flow. Once you have decided to not be bothered by the things unmovable, you win. You’ll be at peace, you’ll learn to look at the brighter side. You’ll learn to see the bigger picture and plan for the road ahead.</div>
<div class="p2">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1">
Yes, you’ll win.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></div>
<div class="p2">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1">
So, do not be easily bothered by small, petty things that comes your way. On top of that, do not let any issue gets bigger than you. Once you pull your vision away from the very thing that troubles you, everything will become clearer and less frightening.</div>
<div class="p2">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1">
We need to compartmentalise our stress into the things that we can do something about and those we can’t. Acknowledge them, detach it from ourselves and we’ll be much at peace.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></div>
<div class="p2">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1">
As for issue I had with my group project, everything went fine. At least for my part of the presentation. Madam Yew gave a me a huge smile after we’ve finished the presentation, although she wasn’t happy at how incoherently our presentation was.</div>
<div class="p2">
<br /></div>
<style type="text/css">
p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px 'Helvetica Neue'; color: #454545}

</style>
<br />
<div class="p1">
I still got an A for it though. I always did. Winks.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></div>

<u><i><span style="font-size: xx-small;">January 2nd, 2017. Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station.</span></i></u></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: 12.8px;"><br /></span></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
For every 1987 babies out there, this is the year you turn 30 years old. As for me, I've had my fair share two days ago - on January 1st, 2017.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I never thought I'd mouth these words but here they are: <i>I am thirty years old.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There were times when I thought, for some weird reasons, I'd never see myself in the big three zero. When I was younger, thirty used to mean a breaking point where everything has settled down - you're happy, financially-stable, having the 'life' you're destined to live for the rest of your life. Basically, I thought by the time I reach 30, I'd have everything figured out.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Three days in, 30 still feels normal to me. Nothing has changed much. I don't feel significantly older (aside from the random times I checked on my ID card). </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So far, 30 feels <i>normal</i>. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Of course, if I were to look back, I'm nowhere nearby the life I thought I'd have by the time I reached 30. I went through quite a rough patch in the months leading to my recent birthday, even hating myself for not having '<i>the life</i>' - which I seldom did. I rarely hated myself, always forgave myself for the mistakes I made so to have done so was quite a big deal.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
After a while, through some heart-to-heart talks with the closest people in my life, I've learned to make amends with myself. What was done, was done. Now is the time to push the reset button, theoretically, and make do of this opportunity to fix whatever that needs fixing.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Here I am, writing as a thirty year old man, feeling calm. Not extremely happy nor depressed. Just calm - and that's good enough as my ammo for brazing this year ahead.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Here's hoping all of my resolutions will be materialized. Here's wishing for a healthy and happy year ahead. Here's to the wonderful life we've been blessed with.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Happy New Year 2017 everyone. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

WHAT A LONG ABSENCE!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It's really hard to keep up with social networking nowadays. It used to be just Friendster. Then, along came Myspace. Okay, not so bad about having two social media profiles. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Now, there's a plethora of platforms where you can express (or expose) yourself according to your liking and interests. I only have Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and hardly on Twitter anymore - even that's tiring enough and naturally, my blog has taken the backseat since I was more active on my Instagram and Youtube. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>No Snapchat for me, thanks.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Blogging used to be fun, at least for me. It used to be the place for me to gag over something I liked, share silly things I experienced or rant over...everything. Then, I had to tame down my blogging ever since I found out friends and family members read my (silly) blog.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But thanks to technology, today, everyone is too occupied with Facebook, Instagram and other easier social media outlet. Our attention span is short so we're always on the lookout for quick entertainment or instant news outlet. Now, nobody has the time to read blogs - <i>and I love it</i>!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I can go back to being the old me and share anything I find interesting here!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So... as my first blog post in many, many months, I'd like to share about the joy of <b>Photoshopping</b>. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Please bear in mind, I'm no professional in the deceitful art of Photoshopping. I first learned about Photoshop from my school mate and best friend, Andrew, when we were 14 or 15. There we were, in a small, shabby cyber cafe in Taiping, in front of a white, boxy PC with Andrew teaching me how to liquify, spot healing, clone stamp and other Photoshop wonders. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Throughout the years, I picked up a thing or two about Photoshop tricks through YouTube and applied it on my personal photos. I could spend hours and hours, painstakingly editing my photos to make them look better, in my eyes at least.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
However, I'm not into editing my own anatomy or facial features. I thought it was tacky to do so since everyone knew how I looked like in real life. Instead, I just enjoy removing unnecessary objects in my photos and making them look more presentable. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Here's an example of the picture I uploaded on my Instagram earlier today:<br />
<br />
<blockquote class="instagram-media" data-instgrm-captioned="" data-instgrm-version="4" style="background: #FFF; border-radius: 3px; border: 0; box-shadow: 0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width: 658px; padding: 0; width: -webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width: 99.375%; width: calc(100% - 2px);">
<div style="padding: 8px;">
<div style="background: #F8F8F8; line-height: 0; margin-top: 40px; padding: 50.0% 0; text-align: center; width: 100%;">
<div style="background: url(data:image/png; height: 44px; margin: 0px auto -44px; position: relative; top: -22px; width: 44px;">
</div>
</div>
<div style="margin-top: 8px; padding: 0px 4px;">
<a href="https://instagram.com/p/8KIzrss-y8/" style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 17px; text-decoration: none; word-wrap: break-word;" target="_top">Yesterday's downpour was the perfect excuse to bring out this never-been-worn H&M x Alexander Wang hoodie, paired with this squeaky-clean Giuseppe Zanotti sneakers. Oh, shoutout to @zenon.barbershop too for my much-needed haircut yesterday. Great, clean cut as always.</a></div>
<div style="color: #c9c8cd; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 17px; margin-top: 8px; overflow: hidden; padding: 8px 0px 7px; text-align: center; text-overflow: ellipsis; white-space: nowrap;">

<br />
And here's a side-by-side comparison with the original photo I took by myself, using an auto-timer on my Nikon D5200.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCweIrV5T7QU5lx_JlxUFiOSGhP4Mk8ttsoCapQtzKKDMIQRgY5rAvMSy2SqcQb7MoBQtCZ0x9wRP8d9IGanvxlX6CFCHQXIZAy5G-VZuYOAj_IrZhgCKc5s-4vY7t38piOB48NmCwhS4/s1600/PhotoGrid_1443458394224.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCweIrV5T7QU5lx_JlxUFiOSGhP4Mk8ttsoCapQtzKKDMIQRgY5rAvMSy2SqcQb7MoBQtCZ0x9wRP8d9IGanvxlX6CFCHQXIZAy5G-VZuYOAj_IrZhgCKc5s-4vY7t38piOB48NmCwhS4/s640/PhotoGrid_1443458394224.jpg" width="456" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I wanted the focus to be on the gorgeous but bland Alexander Wang sweatshirt so I edited out all the furnitures in the background. I liked the shadow on the white wall so I retained it. That one shoe lace falling out drove me nuts so I had to erase it, same goes with the three stripes on my Adidas shorts. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The sweatshirt looked bigger in the picture so I decided to shrink it just a little around my left shoulder. I left my shining, glossy face on and did nothing to my head a little tuning on my hair. Just to even out the pompadour. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Finally, I adjusted its brightness and contrast to give it a cooler look. Not bad, no? </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So, there it is. That's how I have fun with Photoshop. Not so much about making myself look better but to make the picture look aesthetically-pleasing and to deliver the right message about my picture. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Got any Photoshop tips and tricks you wanna share with me? :)</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
In conjunction with my favorite series' return to TV this weekend, I thought I'd like to lay down 10 reasons why I love House of Cards and what I've learned from this series. So here they are:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;">1. You're Never Too Old to Play Video Games</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
As seen on this show, everyone's favourite mischievous guy - Frank Underwood's - way to unwind and destress is by locking himself up in his basement and playing the Playstation 4. Doesn't matter if you're a ruthless majority-whip-turned-Vice-President by day; after office hours is for playing games. Now, who says playing console games is only for the kids?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;">2. Words Are the Greatest Weapon</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Intimidation and to invoke fear don't necessarily need a few punches and kicks. Frank Underwood does it through his flair of words, from blackmailing a fellow senator with substance abuse to vacating the POTUS' seat - all through his tongue. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;">3. Power is Earned....by Intimidation</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Having said words are Frank Underwood's forte, that's also how he secures his power. He invokes fear and intimidates those obstructing his way towards his goal to solidify his position. So, the next time you need to stand out and make sure people take you seriously, intimidate them with whatever you have to bring to the table - <i>Underwood style</i>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;">4. To Get What You Want, You Need to Take a Step Back (Or Two)</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The best thing about Frank Underwood's manoeuvre on getting what he wants is, he makes it seems like he's not chasing after it. For example, to secure the VP post, rather than directly nominating himself to the POTUS, he convinces the sitting VP to vacate his seat, eliminates the next possible VP candidates by offering them other attractive posts, brings out second-grade, sub-par nominees until finally the POTUS chose him as the '<i>most suitable candidate</i>'. Brilliant, is it not?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;">5. Unconventional Relationship = Extraordinary Results</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I love the dynamics between Frank and his equally conniving wife, Claire Underwood. They work hand-in-hand to achieve their goal which often benefits them individually. Having no children makes it easier, and they both are free to sleep with other men/women (even had a bisexual threesome with a Secret Service). Manipulation, blackmailing and hard-talking are the order of the day. Clever.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;">6. Symbiosis Works, Until It Turns Into Parasitism </span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Being a Capitol Hill and White House insider, Frank Underwood uses his inside knowledge to spill out the juicy, unpleasant details of his enemies to the public. The way he does it is by getting a young reporter, Zoe Barnes to do all the dirty works for him. Frank feeds Zoe the news, Zoe gets it out on paper, Frank achieves his goal, Zoe gets famous. See the symbiosis? </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But when things got a turn for the worse, Frank decides to end it all to save his reputation and avoid further harm - by killing Zoe. Ruthless but classic Underwood style.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;">7. Never Poke the Lion from the Inside of the Cage. You Get Someone to Do It from the Outside.</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This refers to the earlier point #6. To fight doesn't always mean you have to wrestle your opponent head-on. You simply have to get someone to do it for you and save yourself from all the dirt. Most of Frank Underwood's '<i>achievements</i>' leaping from being a majority whip to the POTUS comes from Zoe Barnes, who leaks out dirty stories and scandals fed by Frank Underwood. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;">8. Don't Be Afraid of Huge Responsibilities.</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Some jobs are too big to handle and naturally they will scare you. But, having the courage and conviction to grab it by the balls and get it done will reward you with a 'pass' you might need in the future. For instance, the education bill Frank Underwood volunteered to get it ready and passed in 30 days proves to be a solid fallback whenever he tries to argue any controversial plan. Getting a huge project single-handedly done says '<i>I'm capable of anything</i>'. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;">9. You Clean Up After Your Own Mess</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you do something wrong, you own it and clean it up yourself. I admire how Frank Underwood takes care of everything he has done, although how he takes care of it is <u><i>debatable</i></u>. Still, if you've screwed up, you own it and make it right yourself. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;">10. Democracy is Overrated.</span></b></div>

Like it or not, the public actually votes/decides based on what is told, and the content of what is told is controlled by the same people running the White House or deciding in the Capitol Hill. Even to secure presidency itself doesn't necessarily means you have to be elected - you simply must know which button to press to oust the sitting President. Just ask Frank Underwood.</div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJncov5p-9beAURqg4fbSYRABpPwrVRBYf7TZdpP41oh9W8SjeTfqwrtVFvIzU9R_sRj09jZhtD_Tu0acGV4tRe5tZCiDfrtVqKYY9umDj7RYgOhWonkRCCT9GxKZkj_DbVBssI-29a0w/s1600/tumblr_luambrUx0z1ql5yr7o1_400.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJncov5p-9beAURqg4fbSYRABpPwrVRBYf7TZdpP41oh9W8SjeTfqwrtVFvIzU9R_sRj09jZhtD_Tu0acGV4tRe5tZCiDfrtVqKYY9umDj7RYgOhWonkRCCT9GxKZkj_DbVBssI-29a0w/s1600/tumblr_luambrUx0z1ql5yr7o1_400.gif" height="225" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Hate</span></b> is such a powerful word. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The disdain for something or someone usually starts with a mild '<i><u>dislike</u></i>'. You dislike this and that but it is still tolerable. Then it develops into '<u><i>despise</i></u>'. You are clear of your aversion toward something or someone but it is still very much in control.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Finally, here comes '<i><u>hate</u></i>'. The big sister of the three - the <b>badass</b> of them all. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Hate means to know that you don't like something or someone, and to have a very strong feeling about it. Most often than not, it is made known publicly. For example, you hate a particular person and you make everyone knows (including that poor person) of your feeling toward them.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It is normal to hate something or someone you barely know. First impressions can be deceiving and lead you to that God-awful sentiment. Basically you're gathering information just from your observations and what you learn from others, and made a simple conclusion that you hate this/that or him/her. Simple. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In short, <u><i>you hate what you don't know</i></u>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
However, is it possible to hate someone or something you've already fallen head-over-heels with, especially with a person? To know, to love and then to hate that person?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
We often hear how relationships turn sour and the best of couples can be arch-nemesis to one another. As they say, friends make the worst enemy because they know inside out of your life and can use it against you. Same goes for partners/husband-and-wife.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But, if we really love someone and claim to have known them really, really well ('<i>We've known each other for 10 years!', 'She was my best friend for 20 years!'</i>) then why would they turn their back on us and pave the way from love to hate?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The answer is simple: <u><i>we never fully know someone and will never do</i></u>. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'm a firm believer that learning is a life-long process and that applies to learning the people around us as well. People don't stay the same for oh-so-long - <b><i>they change</i></b>. That's what humans do. We adapt to changes, to aging, to surrounding, to technology, to improvements/degradation.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
How many times have things like this crossed our mind: '<i>I didn't even like this when I was studying!' </i>or<i> 'I used to go crazy over chicken rice but now I prefer western food'</i>? </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Even we, ourselves, change. What makes us think that the people around us will stay the same?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I always say relationship is a two-way street. It requires work from both sides. Doesn't matter if you're talking about romantic or casual relationship, if only one side is doing all the work, frustration starts to boil and hate creeps in. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Actually it starts with dislike, then despise and finally hate - in that order.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
To all of us who always wonder, why would someone who used to love now hate us? The answer might be in our own two hands. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Maybe we're not playing our part. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Maybe we're not paying more attention. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Maybe we're too complacent and lazy to work things out. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Maybe we simply don't care and think things will take a turn for the better by themselves.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There are reasons why the ones who used to talk so softly to you, now screaming and nagging all the time. There are reasons too why those who couldn't stop talking and giggling with you, now prefer to be left alone and quiet. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The reasons are in the <i><u>maybe's</u></i>. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Until we've have gone through all the maybe's, don't be too quick to put the blame on others and preach to them to '<b>breathe out hate and breathe in love'</b>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The world doesn't need another pair of enemies. Let's fix where we go wrong and avoid that '<u><i>dislike</i></u>' from escalating to '<u><i>hate</i></u>'.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I hate 'hate'.<br />

A wise man once said (okay, it was Lady Gaga who actually said it):</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
"Trust is like a mirror. You can fix it if it's broken but you can still see crack in that motherfucker's reflection."</div>
</blockquote>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
When someone you deeply cared about (a family member, a friend, your significant other) have gained your trust and sadly, decided to go astray and misused the trust you have placed in him/her for whatever reason he/she might have <i>("I didn't know what I was thinking", "I swear that was the only time!", "It wasn't like that at all, I swear!")</i>, let's be frank, you would never forget about it.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxFrzMLFr-n7JP1I9wS3NhFFaXSobDNNJ5Fy2mI-_Ky9TDEu60M627w0NuE3cC28LbH93i3EPfMnupagG3xIQNZRQRrWOwa5pQlpZ_n4NABySfeVPnftum6mN1_j-snWttktvf6U988H8/s1600/tumblr_mkc1phDwAM1ql5yr7o1_400.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxFrzMLFr-n7JP1I9wS3NhFFaXSobDNNJ5Fy2mI-_Ky9TDEu60M627w0NuE3cC28LbH93i3EPfMnupagG3xIQNZRQRrWOwa5pQlpZ_n4NABySfeVPnftum6mN1_j-snWttktvf6U988H8/s1600/tumblr_mkc1phDwAM1ql5yr7o1_400.gif" height="225" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
True, out of sympathy, you might forgive the wrongdoer after you have simmer down and got over the fact that they have done what they did. But honestly, you would never forget the hurt, the humiliation, the violation of the trust and how things would never go back to how it used to be.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Trust is NOT like putting together again a crumbling Lego house that your great aunt accidentally knocked over because she had cataract and couldn't see. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Once violated, the second chance you might give to the person who did you wrong will always come at a price. The second (or third or fourth) time around, the trust is no longer gained but simply given out of false optimism. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I personally feel that second chance is worth giving but it does not worth anything.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Over time, the wrong-doer will feel complacent with what they have and with how things have gone back to normal. Thus, the tendency to neglect, abuse and subsequently violate the trust is very high. Most importantly, we - <i>the ones wronged</i> - will incessantly feel vulnerable, fragile and threaten.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Yup, threaten.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The fear of being wronged again, being put in the dark and not knowing that that same person is scheming another round of mischief while whispering sweet things into your ears.....<i>allegedly</i>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So, what to do if you have been guilty of taking that first, second, third chances for granted?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Nothing much you can do, really.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQF9rxyfU2VsjIl4P0veqHjk_MH2QnyU51qvqJDvPlL2kMxqqEoTNcvHM7wbjY41TkircVfbKmHaz6dfpN8prxuvwY15-vK0FUvkygPEHR6rYAOkkT8dkfD1P5JMN0R5J5GxYShyMWKeo/s1600/Prove+It+Bitch.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQF9rxyfU2VsjIl4P0veqHjk_MH2QnyU51qvqJDvPlL2kMxqqEoTNcvHM7wbjY41TkircVfbKmHaz6dfpN8prxuvwY15-vK0FUvkygPEHR6rYAOkkT8dkfD1P5JMN0R5J5GxYShyMWKeo/s1600/Prove+It+Bitch.gif" height="225" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The only way to do is to ask for forgiveness and do anything within your power to prove that you are indeed trying to make things right. Over time, those who appreciate your effort will see it - provided that you do <b><u>ALL</u></b> the things within your power, if you're really serious about making it right.<br />
<br />
Do understand him/her if he/she finds it hard to believe you at times. That poor person was lied to and neglected while you did what you did - how else would you expect them to react?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Oh, please spare the <i>'I'm-hurt-too-like-you'</i> lines because nobody is hurt or affected more than the one you did wrong. So avoid using the pity card like you're the victim. Instead, take the high road - admit all the wrong things you did, seek for forgiveness and show that you're trying to make amend.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
After all, talk is cheap. Action, on the other hand, always speaks louder than words.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Amen.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

It was so bright yet so grey<br />
You came into the room like a stranger<br />
With wild eyes, it lingered<br />
You opened your mouth and spoke<br />
So softly as if you'd choke<br />
Then came the news so grim<br />
You're leaving me, not him<br />
<br />
The morning it happened<br />
You look casually dampened<br />
Your loveless glare<br />
Made me truly aware<br />
Like a dry, withering clove<br />
I have lost your love<br />
<br />
Your touch was stiff<br />
Your mind was adrift<br />
Your senses were absent<br />
And my heart was in fragments<br />
<br />
Seven years, wasted<br />
Seven years, annihilated<br />
<br />
I would never forget<br />
The day your love went away<br />
Like a painful, losing bet<br />
This day will always stay<br />
<br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This pair was bought almost two months back and I had completely forgotten about posting them here. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Thought I'd share with all of you this camo <i>London </i>sneakers by Giuseppe Zanotti for their Spring/Summer 2013 collection - because they are ridiculously sick!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I had my eyes on a similar pair without the metal studs but with Zanotti's signature metal Velcro strap. Sadly, that particular pair didn't make it to our shore.... but this one does! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This pair comes in camo-print suede leather with metallic gold leather trimmings and matching gold zippers and metal studs on the sides. The shoe laces are black and so does the rubber sole. The asking price for these sneakers are listed on its website at US$825 or so, but it was sold for twice the price in Giuseppe Zanotti boutique here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
That pretty much answers why people shop overseas.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Only 6 of these babies are available in Malaysia and happy to say, I snagged the first one hours after it was released. *<i>grabs wallet and cries</i>*</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you want it, head to its store in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur or simply order it online at <i>giuseppezanottidesign.com</i>. They ship worldwide, including Malaysia, in 2-4 working days by UPS.<br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
I figured, my humble shoes collection wouldn't be complete without a pair (or two) from Prada. Coincidentally, there's a particular pair that I really, really liked this season. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So, I gathered this was a sign from the universe for me to walk into Prada store and get one of its shoes.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Introducing the Levitate brogues from the Spring/Summer 2013 men's runway collection.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It's a no-brainer how these brogues got its name. The thick, clear plastic sole makes it seems, well, levitating. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Made of brushed calf leather with perforated wingtip design, it comes in four colours: black, white, brown and this, greyish silver with matching shoe laces. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I always wear shoes in 42.5 or 43. However, I can fit in nicely into size 41 of this without any discomfort or pain. That's something, isn't it?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I hereby embed an unboxing video I had made for this pair a couple of weeks ago so you can get a better picture of it. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This one was bought in Suria KLCC, Kuala Lumpur and cheaper by 200 bucks than in Bangkok.<br />

Just when you thought you've known everything about Carrie Bradshaw, her three besties and everything in between about their lives, here comes another pre-instalment of the famous Sex and the City by Candace Bushnell. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>Because, why not? Milk all you can out of the famous book/TV-series/movies while you still can. </i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Normally, I don't read chick-lits. I found these books, '<i>Carrie Diaries</i>' and its sequel '<i>Summer and the City</i>' during the Big Bad Wolf sale last year and decided - hey, why not since I was already a huge fan of the series and the movies. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Plus, they were only at RM8 each. Hardcover too. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The book brings us back to 1980s when Carrie Bradshaw was a 17-year-old high school student aspiring to be a writer and get accepted into Brown. At the same time, having a love-hate relationship with the new boy in school, Sebastian Kydd whilst maintaining friendship with her three best friends, Maggie, Mouse and Walt. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The first book ends with Carrie being accepted for a writing programme in New York City for the summer and her journey in the Big Apple continues in the second book where she found her first big love - the New York City - and contemplated abandoning her initial plan of going to Brown for being a serious writer. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
For someone who has known and fell in love with Carrie Bradshaw and her much-older best friends: Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte, reading this book was quite dreadful in the beginning without being familiar with any other characters except Carrie herself.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Even Carrie was not the usual strong-minded, opinionated woman we always knew. Somehow, as the story progressed, I learnt to appreciate the different Carrie given of the age difference and hey, I assume, that was exactly how normal teenage girls would behave (I think).</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The most interesting part of the two books is the way we are revealed how it all started for Carrie. How she became a serious writer, what brought her to NYC and most importantly, how she met the other three girls: Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
All in all, it was really a pleasure reading both books. They were hilarious, warm and at times, cringe-worthy. If you're a fan of the four women, you'd appreciate these books.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Can't wait for its sequel. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>PS: If you're thinking of giving these books a pass and watch the new TV-series 'The Carrie Diaries' instead, well, you're in for a loss because the TV series is SO different from the original story in the book. Of course, the books tell the story in a much better way and you'd appreciate the story build-up even more. </i></div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiv96i1SyXGA8xgyK_jHiILSDdf0gshv2_x1RA8DCVtOp8jXn1n5PjDicTedRoLIBG0GZ2-O_6PL_D7MCPqevpdUg7bvcl02xVIOeZa_hSpL18YZiW32la9vMbhbkvVeEZBT9uePaCL_LA/s1600/JS+Instinct+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiv96i1SyXGA8xgyK_jHiILSDdf0gshv2_x1RA8DCVtOp8jXn1n5PjDicTedRoLIBG0GZ2-O_6PL_D7MCPqevpdUg7bvcl02xVIOeZa_hSpL18YZiW32la9vMbhbkvVeEZBT9uePaCL_LA/s640/JS+Instinct+2.jpg" width="452" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I was totally in love with these JS Instinct the moment I saw Nicki Minaj wore them couple of months back. I think they're really cute - in <i>crazy</i> cute kinda way. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'm starting to like JS Instinct even more now after buying the <a href="http://daysofdelirium.blogspot.com/2012/09/adidas-js-instinct.html" target="_blank">first pair</a> because THEY ARE SO COMFORTABLE. You can imagine what they do to your feet just by looking at those thick cushioning and extra large tongue. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Simply comfortable - like wrapping hotel pillows to your feet. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So, as you can see from the pictures, the right and the left one aren't really identical to one another but the color combo are (so that onlookers and passers-by know that you're <i>actually</i> wearing the correct pair). While some might think it's tad too much to wear crazy sneakers like this, I actually like them for this because they are SO CRAZY!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Jeremy Scott has never failed to impress me. <i>Never</i>. </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
I dedicate this post to everyone who still thinks Kenzo only makes perfume (Yep, I'm talking to you).</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Fellow readers, meet Kenzo 'Kenyon' sneakers in burgundy. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
We were passing by a Kenzo boutique here in Kuala Lumpur when we saw this pair on display (along side another one in black with the same yellow logo-stitched felt tongue). It was reasonably priced (under RM2k) with 30% off.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I don't know about you but for us, these are all the signs for us to buy the shoes. <i>Like, right there ASAP.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This pair is in burgundy nappa leather with thick white rubber sole and velcro strap. Is it comfortable? Very much. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I really love this whole new fresh look of Kenzo (since they got themselves new designers - the dynamic duo of Opening Ceremony). The box, the tissue wrapper and the upbeat, younger look of Kenzo are really growing on us.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Plus, it's not ridiculously-priced as any other luxury fashion house. You can get their shoes (like this one) for under RM2k and great polo t-shirts for below RM600. Totally a catch.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Kenzo is available in Starhill Gallery, Kuala Lumpur.<br />
<br />

Well, as a continuation of the <a href="http://daysofdelirium.blogspot.com/2013/02/springsummer-2013-mens-t-shirt.html" target="_blank">previous post,</a> here are some of the sneakers for Spring/Summer 2013 season that caught my attention. Truth be told, there were so many to be chosen from and to be shared here but I've streamlined them down to the ones that I would reallllly wear (and potentially buy, too). </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Metallic and neon colors are in this season as seen on Giuseppe Zanotti, Ferragamo (not shown here), Burberry (not shown here) and Maison Martin Margiela (also not shown), as well as monochrome which came as a surprise since black & white were the most unlikely colors for Spring and Summer. Monochrome are in full swing in the fashion house of Saint Laurent (not shown here), Givenchy and Lanvin. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
My favorite? The black and white Raf Simons and yellow/turquoise Giuseppe Zanotti. Let me know which one is your favorite and I welcomed any new input.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
All images and prices are from Luisaviaroma, Ssense, Matches, Louis Vuitton, Christian Louboutin and Saks Fifth Avenue. </div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkclRR0vy5vqS5UNVT8NEDb4SI4DWe-iIGpPhCNCUV0_m48D21w0birsqROSDHJLZBaYuMRFZyLth1j47YxNqGLNyWlAByfcfNP9kbNIHCHM7YrsRzyftqLNg6y844WFYzrmgV36R4H8U/s1600/H%2526M.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkclRR0vy5vqS5UNVT8NEDb4SI4DWe-iIGpPhCNCUV0_m48D21w0birsqROSDHJLZBaYuMRFZyLth1j47YxNqGLNyWlAByfcfNP9kbNIHCHM7YrsRzyftqLNg6y844WFYzrmgV36R4H8U/s640/H%2526M.jpg" width="452" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I always believe that if something looks good and fits you equally good - although it is label-less or much more affordable than that of designer ones - it deserves the same accolade given to its luxury counterparts.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It's totally a no-brainer: why wouldn't you wear something that you like just because it doesn't have a major label on it? Plus, it's much cheaper too.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Same goes with this new desert boots I got from H&M.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I've been on the lookout for a decent desert boots to pair up with my jeans or khaki pants for quite some time. I have my eyes on Cole Haan's and Zegna's but finally settled down with this pair instead from H&M. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I just love the rich blue color, the soft velvety suede and of course the price - they were retailed at only 79 bucks. That is like one tenth of Cole Haan's price.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The only downside of buying cheaper shoes is that they don't really fit your feet like a glove as opposed to that of designer ones (wear Lanvin or Louis Vuitton and you'll know what I mean). Besides, the material is paper-thin so you might not want to expect much comfort or protection from them. They looked good though and for that pricetag, I can't complain much. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Oh, another downside, my sister wasn't feeling this shoes at all. She said I looked like a '<i>mat rempit</i>'. Oh well. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>

New season has kicked in and the stores have been stocked with their latest collection. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I took some time (make it about 10 hours) of my daily chores to ogle through some of the new collection online via Luisaviaroma & Ssense, my two favorite online stores. We'll get to the shoes later on but for now, I'll share with you the t-shirt pieces that caught my attention.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
All images are from Luisaviaroma and Ssense.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'm really feeling the oversized t-shirt from Givenchy, the metallic stripes of Burberry and that oh-so-cute hippo t-shirt from Lanvin. Soon, perhaps? </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

I loved the book and watched the movie countless times. And every time I did so, I learned new things and regained my love for the story and its original author.<br />
<br />
My best friend Eugene would know this - this is his favorite part of the movie!<br />

What do you do when you hit that bottom part of your life - thus far? </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Do you console yourself with some retail therapy and hope your new material possessions will make things OK? Do you do the Shila Amzah style - grab a guitar, sing a sad song whilst crying and put it on YouTube, because that's what *<i>ehem</i>* matured people would do? Or you simply shake it off and be adamant that this rough patch will eventually pass by?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Of course one can argue that everyone handles things differently. Same goes to you and me. Nobody can say how one person cope with his hard time is not right as everybody has their own way of channeling that <i>I-feel-like-shit</i> feeling. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>Except that Shila Amzah way again. That's just plain wrong, immature, desperate and shameless.</i> </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Anyway...</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
What matters most is the company you keep close to in these hard times. The people you surround yourself with should be the ones that can make you forget your issues and at the same time work with you to resolve them. Even if they can't fix it for you, at least you know you'll find some solace in keeping close with the ones you love and most importantly, with the ones that love you.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It is said that the Eskimos have over a hundred words for snow. Sadly, when it comes to us to offer someone in need some comfort, we're always at a loss for words. Not many of us know, one who's enduring a hard time will hold on to our words of comfort like a valid oral testament that everything will get better. Well, I know it because I did do that. In times in need, you'll hold on to whatever positive spark left in your life in hope it will bring you faraway from that dark place you're in. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you happen to fall into that dark, seemingly-endless hole in your life, just be persistent and believe that everything will get better eventually. But if you know someone who's going through that phase, be kind and offer some help. You'll never know when you might need it for yourself.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
As Mother Theresa said, if you can't feed all the hungry children in the world, just feed one - it will make all the difference.<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTcRZBisIjw9UDgzyjpfTeInB7_fPNwOs7vODywJhTFML1Bhw7HANNLKt5NtFrK9Wp5PkEWMLLUNuhvhXE6aLlBNI4gyG_RyLTNhkvpaA5UQLiXLgEWnpuY920oyazwazVUTaprV1pK_4/s1600/Giuseppe.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTcRZBisIjw9UDgzyjpfTeInB7_fPNwOs7vODywJhTFML1Bhw7HANNLKt5NtFrK9Wp5PkEWMLLUNuhvhXE6aLlBNI4gyG_RyLTNhkvpaA5UQLiXLgEWnpuY920oyazwazVUTaprV1pK_4/s640/Giuseppe.jpg" width="452" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
My closet is a plethora of monochrome clothes and footwear, so I vowed not to get any other item in black or white. However, since I am so full of shit, I couldn't resist the temptation of this Giuseppe Zanotti Winter 2012 sneakers, broke my vow and returned home with another black footwear.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
But this isn't just any footwear. This is Giuseppe Zanotti, mind you - <i>at least, that was how I consoled myself</i>. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I really love the side zippers and the metal plate on its velcro strap. I feel they give an extra edge to an otherwise boring footwear with a bad-ass yet classy look.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I've embedded the unboxing video I made and posted on YouTube so you can see the sneakers in action (don't forget to opt for High Def). Do check out the gorgeous dustbags that come with them too. </div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5hqZqNuLwtGP2y_EBJyO6tR2BjbsiMts1l-7whK6tEuF8c98YlogIj-py5h19g0VUXSwxL3h7-DA9WO_wQ3tGEJamW6VaKaIUQ5Addml4TOOWbWeXHhkfwTZTPTrmuko2naMClwVRlU8/s1600/JS+Gorilla.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5hqZqNuLwtGP2y_EBJyO6tR2BjbsiMts1l-7whK6tEuF8c98YlogIj-py5h19g0VUXSwxL3h7-DA9WO_wQ3tGEJamW6VaKaIUQ5Addml4TOOWbWeXHhkfwTZTPTrmuko2naMClwVRlU8/s640/JS+Gorilla.jpg" width="451" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It has been a while since I got myself a quirky pair of footwear. I've been settling for more practical and mature-looking shoes/sneakers of late but once in a while, I do need to get in touch with my crazy side.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Hence this JS Gorilla.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Initially I was torn between this one and JS Instinct, but I ended up getting both since I hate making tough, life-changing <i>*cough*</i> decisions. Besides, this pair looks cute too. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The whole shoe is covered with black faux fur with cushion-soft gorilla head tongue. Oh, the gorilla's white 'shirt' is detachable too - for cleaning purposes or tying the shoe laces underneath. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I have yet to wear this sneakers - pending for the right outfit and the right occasion to do so. Guess I'm not as bold as I was then, though I still maintain that quirky taste inside.<br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I've seen Lil Wayne in one before and although I'm never a fan of his music, I do adore what he put on his feet. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I love the bright in-your-face yellow, along with its larger-than-life label on the tongue. But what I really love about this sneaker is - <i>surprise </i>- its back part. I just think they look sporty, young, fun, upbeat and very Adidas-ish from that angle. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The sneakers are in soft leather and the inner sole and cushioning are oh-so-comfy. I could fall asleep standing while wearing them, let me tell 'ya. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It comes in white too and for the Fall/Winter '12 collection, there's a version of JS Instinct in cocktail of colors and prints which I'm totally in love with. Can't wait to get my hands on them soon. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Just when you thought Mr Jeremy Scott couldn't do better, he proved you otherwise. I just love the black-and-yellow combo on the sneakers. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>Suddenly, Wiz Khalifa's 'Black and Yellow' playing in my head....</i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I got this one from Adidas store in Johor Premium Outlet, which explains why I bought something from past season. It was sold approximately 200 bucks cheaper than normal retail price. Thanks to sales associate Azhar for the great service. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Recently I was in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah with my hommie Ayi and it was amazing. The people are nice, the city was awesome and the view was ____ (<i>Insert adjective here. I'm running out of adjectives to describe</i>).</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I won't bore you with the details of our trip but I'd share with you a particular outfit I wore there.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Taken on the same day, in the morning I decided to pair my favorite black long sleeve knitted top from <i>Armani Exchange</i> and skinny blue jeans from <i>Galliano</i> (it was on 40% off!) with my <a href="http://daysofdelirium.blogspot.com/2011/06/burberry-gladiator-sandals.html" target="_blank"><i>Burberry Prorsum</i> gladiators</a>. However, later on the day I (<i>literally</i>) kicked off the gladiators for my <a href="http://daysofdelirium.blogspot.com/2012/04/louis-vuitton-monte-carlo-loafers.html" target="_blank"><i>Louis Vuitton</i> loafers</a> for a walk along the promenade since it was so much more comfortable.</div>

So which footwear looks better with the outfit? </div>

It is no surprise that I am a huge fan of high-top sneakers. But what surprises me is the fact that I haven't bought anything from Puma in the longest time. Although some of their sneakers do have some sick, awesome design, I just felt they were just not for me.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Until I saw this pair (<i>and the 'Sale' sign next to it</i>).</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I just love the triple shades of blue combo on them along with the softness of the suede and calf leather. When I first tried it on, I thought they looked funny because of the hiking boot-style shoe laces but after a while, it started to grow on me. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Why not try something a tad different for a change, I told myself.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The fact that it was on 40% off gained itself extra brownie points for me to take it home. Oh, did I mention that I also got a free Puma Black Label lush leather passport cover for this purchase? Sweet.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Puma Black Label is the higher end line of the sport house, much like that of Adidas Originals by Originals. As stated on its website, the Black Label comprises collaboration with 'high fashion innovator designers' namely Hussein Chalayan, Alexander McQueen and Miharayasuhiro. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This high top Alexander McQueen for Puma Black Label sneakers are available in Isetan Wisma Atria, Singapore. When there's a '<i>McQueen</i>' label tagged to it, be prepared to fork out extra dosh for a pair.<br />
