Before I Go to Sleep by SJ Watson

Book #6 for 2012: Before I Go to Sleep by SJ Watson

"Memories define us. So what if you lost yours every time you went to sleep? Your name, your identity, your past, even the people you love—all forgotten overnight. And the one person you trust may be telling you only half the story.

Welcome to Christine's life."

Those words at the back cover totally sold the book and made me a fan. It tells the story of Christine Lucas, who lost her memory every time she goes to sleep - resulted from a mysterious accident. Every day, she wakes up not knowing where she is, what happened to her or how she got married to her husband, Ben.

As suggested by her doctor, she keeps a journal to keep track of her daily activities but one morning she found a startling thing written in the journal - 'Don't trust Ben'. That opens up the floodgate of suspicions - what really happened to her and is Ben really telling her the truth?

Before I Go to Sleep is filled with suspense from cover to cover. I found myself completely engulfed in the story and absurdly keen in finding out what really happened to Christine. The ending, fellas, might not be as what you have expected/assumed - at least, for me.

This is one of the those rare piece of works that would make you hate to put it down. A must read if thriller/suspense genre is your cup of tea.

A MUST.
