End of Season, End of Year

My last day and in my working attire. C'mon, gimme a break will ya? I had written a post earlier but I scrapped it off as it didn't sound more like me. And I'm not really sure of what I should be saying here, or more appropriately which one to tell first because there are lots to tell. If you have read my blog (more like a personal rant) before, you'll notice the new layout that I put here. It took me 5 hours to select, edit and publish it according to what I like and I must say, I think I should do something more to it. Don't you agree? Anyway, I still like the whole new cheeky-layout of my blog. Hehe. Much better from the previous narcissist-layout, yes? I ended my month-long stint last few days and to my surprise, it was much harder than I imagined. Call me sentimental, but I didn't know that I could be that attached to my job, or more appropriately, the store. Felt like leaving my children forever when I was doing my final stock-check and closing down the s...

My New Favorite Sound: Mick Flannery

I already told that I wasn't the one following the flow. I'm just like (the late) Isabella Blow, where unknowns excite me as much as big names excite others. While browsing for songs to be downloaded, I came across this particular lad and although I never heard of him until tonight, I somehow took a chance by listening to his tune. His sound is pretty much a cross between slow ballads by Deep Purple, Sade's easiness and a less mellow Damien Rice. Yes, with a little touch of James Morrison and James Blunt in 'Back to Bedlam'. In his eleventh track entitled 'Do Me Right', he sounded almost like Deep Purple in 'Travelling Soldier'. I must say this album, White Lies, is a very, very perfect tune for a silent night alone or just when you're in need of a mellow-easy-listening tune while you're alone or on a rainy day. In fact, I found this one very soothing and helpful by 'accompanying' me studying late at night. A real stress-free inducer....

Five O'Clock Heroes featuring Agyness Deyn - Who

I love this song so much that I can't stop playing it ever since I first saw the video of them performing live in PerezHilton.com, aside from the fact that I love Agyness Deyn - a household name in the modelling world. She has graced the advertising campaigns of big shots like Giorgio Armani, Burberry and Marc Jacobs and currently the face of the new Burberry scent, The Beat (yes, the one with the quirky and loopy model jumping with dozens of facial expressions. That's her). And now, she has collaborated with Five O'Clock Heroes, a band from the UK for this song. Enjoy it! PS: Don't worry, she sounds way better than Scarlett Johansson :) Click here to DOWNLOAD!
