Go Kooky: JS Gorilla

It has been a while since I got myself a quirky pair of footwear. I've been settling for more practical and mature-looking shoes/sneakers of late but once in a while, I do need to get in touch with my crazy side. Hence this JS Gorilla. Initially I was torn between this one and JS Instinct, but I ended up getting both since I hate making tough, life-changing *cough* decisions. Besides, this pair looks cute too.  The whole shoe is covered with black faux fur with cushion-soft gorilla head tongue. Oh, the gorilla's white 'shirt' is detachable too - for cleaning purposes or tying the shoe laces underneath.  I have yet to wear this sneakers - pending for the right outfit and the right occasion to do so. Guess I'm not as bold as I was then, though I still maintain that quirky taste inside. juicyword@gmail.com Twitter: @kyeberry

Adidas JS Instinct

I've seen Lil Wayne in one before and although I'm never a fan of his music, I do adore what he put on his feet.  I love the bright in-your-face yellow, along with its larger-than-life label on the tongue. But what I really love about this sneaker is - surprise - its back part. I just think they look sporty, young, fun, upbeat and very Adidas-ish from that angle.  The sneakers are in soft leather and the inner sole and cushioning are oh-so-comfy. I could fall asleep standing while wearing them, let me tell 'ya.  It comes in white too and for the Fall/Winter '12 collection, there's a version of JS Instinct in cocktail of colors and prints which I'm totally in love with. Can't wait to get my hands on them soon.  Just when you thought Mr Jeremy Scott couldn't do better, he proved you otherwise. I just love the black-and-yellow combo on the sneakers.  Suddenly, Wiz Khalifa's 'Black and Yellow' playing in my head.... I...

Fun Stuff: Footwear

Recently I was in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah with my hommie Ayi and it was amazing. The people are nice, the city was awesome and the view was ____  ( Insert adjective here. I'm running out of adjectives to describe ). I won't bore you with the details of our trip but I'd share with you a particular outfit I wore there. Taken on the same day, in the morning I decided to pair my favorite black long sleeve knitted top from Armani Exchange  and skinny blue jeans from Galliano  (it was on 40% off!) with my Burberry Prorsum gladiators . However, later on the day I ( literally ) kicked off the gladiators for my Louis Vuitton loafers for a walk along the promenade since it was so much more comfortable. So which footwear looks better with the outfit?     So...which one is better? Burberry gladiators LV loafers    pollcode.com free polls   juicyword@gmail.com Twitter: @kyeberry

Back to Black: Alexander McQueen for Puma Black Label

It is no surprise that I am a huge fan of high-top sneakers. But what surprises me is the fact that I haven't bought anything from Puma in the longest time. Although some of their sneakers do have some sick, awesome design, I just felt they were just not for me. Until I saw this pair ( and the 'Sale' sign next to it ). I just love the triple shades of blue combo on them along with the softness of the suede and calf leather. When I first tried it on, I thought they looked funny because of the hiking boot-style shoe laces but after a while, it started to grow on me.  Why not try something a tad different for a change, I told myself. The fact that it was on 40% off gained itself extra brownie points for me to take it home. Oh, did I mention that I also got a free Puma Black Label lush leather passport cover for this purchase? Sweet. Puma Black Label is the higher end line of the sport house, much like that of Adidas Originals by Originals. As stated on...

Louis Vuitton 'Upside Down'

It all started one night when I was browsing through the latest Fall Winter 2012 collection on Louis Vuitton's website. I liked this one particular pair - Upside Down high-cut sneakers - but apparently it was not sold here in Malaysia. In Asia, it was only available in Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore.  So, to Singapore I made my way. It was sometime in the first week of August. Since we were well in our fasting month of Ramadan, there was nothing else for us to do but to made our way right to The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands right after we landed in Changi. This baby is a patchwork of white, black and blue ( is that blue? ) perforated leather, logo-embossed suede and dark blue canvas trimming with matching shoe laces. The rubber sole is white with LV logo on the lateral side. Simply stunning.  If you're willing to fork out some money for this pair, by all means go ahead. Not only it is aesthetically-pleasing, but comfortable too.  ...

Back from the Dead

Something nasty happened to this blog and everything went haywire. Layout went crazy, photos went missing so I had no choice but to private this blog for a good two months until I managed to slowly rebuild it again from scratch - literally . I believe everything happens for a reason and so is the case for this blog. I changed the layout to its new Maison Martin Margiela-minimalist style, took out all the ad spaces and made the photos a little more interesting, personal and telling. I hope you like this new Days of Delirium as much as I do, if not more. I'm still working on the rest of the posts - retracing their photos and rearranging the layouts. As of now, I can only do thus much to this 5-year-old blog while being as efficient as I possibly can. I'd fix the rest of the posts as soon as I can - one thing at a time. Though my life is wide opened through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, DoD is me being completely naked. It is where I documented almost all of my l...
